Life Is Better With Tulle & Lace

If you know who I am, then you probably know that I can be the most awkward person to walk the face of this planet. But I decided to start stepping out of my comfort zone and do different things like photoshoots!

Who Doesn’t Love a Good Photoshoot?

I am in love with how this photoshoot turned out with Melissa Vargas. All of the photos turned out so bright, lovely, and wonderful that it was hard to choose which ones to highlight. She is an amazing photographer in the Reno-Tahoe area, and she also shares the same name as me so that makes me love her even more!

Melissa is great to work with. From the beginning to the end of the photoshoot, she helped me with everything – with how to position myself and how to pose to highlight my outfit – and she picked the cute location for the photoshoot.

I love her photography style and would definitely recommend her to those looking for bright, vibrant photos for their weddings, portraits, etc. Lookout LinkedIn because I’ve got a new photo coming your way.

50 Shades of Tulle and Lace

In case you didn’t know this other fact about me…I have a shopping addiction. I have a bad habit of buying things that I see that I like. I always forget about evaluating my needs over my wants. But a girl does what a girl wants.

I’m the type of person that will use any excuse to dress-up – to work (sometimes), to a luncheon, to a family party. I wish I had a tulle skirt in a million different colors so I could wear one all the time. Below are details of where I got each piece of clothing as well as suggestions of where you can find them elsewhere!

Top | Lady Lace Top from VICI ($48)

I am wearing a size small, and it fits true to size. It has a removable cami underneath so if you wanted to wear a cute bralette underneath instead, it would work out. The top has a collar that you can button up all the way or leave it unbuttoned as I did. I would love to wear this top with some black pants for a night out or a black pencil skirt for work!

Alternatives with various styles and colors: Forever 21, Amazon, Target, Sears

Skirt | Bradshaw Tulle Midi Skirt – Burgundy from VICI (sold out)

My skirt is a size small with an elastic band. The length is a little bit longer than how it looked on the photo of the model that was wearing it when I bought it, but that was because she was 5’7″ and I am 5’3″. I still liked how it ended up looking with my height. It is so comfortable and flowy to wear and can be dressed up or down. I love pairing this tulle skirt with my different body suits.

Alternatives with various styles and colors: Charlotte Russe, Amazon, Morning Lavender, Space 46 BoutiqueExpress

Shoes | Lauren Studded Heels from Nomad Boutique ($34)

I typically wear between a size 7-8 in shoes, and these heels fit perfectly at a size 7. The chunky heel makes them easy to walk in and are super comfy after you wear them in. The shade of pink is not too bright and is neutral . I love wearing the shoes with black pants or skirts. If you want to dress-up a casual outfit with jeans, this would be a perfect addition.

Alternatves with various styles and colors: Steve Madden, Qupid

I can’t wait to show you how the rest of the photoshoot with Melissa went later this month!
