My name is Melissa Jane Ung, and I’m from Reno, Nevada – the Biggest Little City in the World.
I am a proud alumna of the University of Nevada, Reno. I attended the Reynolds School of Journalism and graduated with a B.A. in journalism, emphasis in strategic communications and news, along with a minor in psychology. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Business Administration at my alma mater. I am proudly giving back to the university through my involvement with the Nevada Young Alumni Chapter and the Reynolds School of Journalism Alumni Chapter.
I have a passion for events, live entertainment and fitness. I love how it all brings people together and makes them feel connected in so many ways no matter where they are in the world. Capturing life’s moments is what I’m all about.
I have the unique and best opportunity of being able to work full-time as the Event Coordinator for The Great Reno Balloon Race whilst also getting to work on events and social media with STEP2 as their Marketing Associate. I also dabble in social media and event management via MelJane Media.
I am currently working on a project with my sister, Cat Ung. We are working on collaborating on our own sister blog platform – Like Cat & Mel. Coming soon!
